DNP 810 Essentials of Reflective Practice gained thorough understanding of the objectives of the course and the essentials of AACN’s Doctoral Training for Advance Nursing Practice when I reflect on my experiences with DNP-810A, a course at Grand Canyon University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This class was vital in developing my professional capabilities and I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences and progress in this article.

I’ve made an effort to be as objective as I can in evaluating my performance in class by taking an academic approach. The skills required to DNP candidates to become competent nurses were defined as per the AACN Essentials, which are included in the version for 2019. As you can see by my experiences that I am committed to developing a solid understanding of scientific concepts as well as managing projects.

Significance of Research Practices

The perspective of the third person has been a major component of this journal. In the process of providing quality care to patients, I’ve learned to appreciate the significance of research and practices founded on research. As an impartial guide, I’ve been watching the PICOT study, which is based on the 12-week diagnostic course to decrease hospital readmissions and patients suffering from serious mental disorders. The AACN’s most admired important skills, the capacity to critically evaluate evidence and use it in the practice and procedures, is greatly developed through this course. DNP 810 Essentials of Reflective Practice, researching them, and making sense of data and formulating conclusions are all skills that I’ve spent a lot of time to develop. I’ve gained a greater knowledge of the PICOT problem by utilizing the general approach to learning that includes academic journals, books and online databases.

My development as a nurse and then becoming a DNP practitioner is greatly helped with the help of DNP-810A. Particularly, for those suffering with severe depression. The ability to analyze data critically and apply it to therapy settings is invaluable. The skills and knowledge I’ve acquired will serve as the basis to my role in the role of an AACN and I’m committed to providing top-quality care to my patients and I am ecstatic about the potential for the future.

Essential I: Scientific Underpinnings for Practice

The course has helped me comprehend the scientific foundations for nursing practice. This is especially important when it comes to the PICOT topic of the connection of major depression with re-admission to the hospital. With my understanding of study and thinking critically,, I was able to comprehend the scientific data that explains the treatment. Based on this information, I was able to modify my treatment methods to my personal needs.

Essential III: Clinical Scholarship and Analytical Methods for Evidence-Based Practice

My analytical thinking abilities and the ability to conduct clinical research have been significantly improved by this course. I’ve been able to the research papers thoroughly and to make an evidence-based synthesis and apply it to make informed choices in my work as nurses. These skills have proved very helpful in finding an evidence-based solution to the PICOT-related questions.

Essential V: Health Care Policy for Advocacy in Health Care

Understanding the healthcare policy and how it impacts the nursing profession is something I’ve gotten better at. The complexity of the healthcare industry and in regulations and the impact they have on the treatment of patients are easily understood by me. By studying factors like health disparities and accessibility to healthcare for patients, I am better prepared to advocate for patients by completing the 12 weeks of assessment and follow-up.

Conclusion

DNP 810 Essentials of Reflective Practice aims to illustrate how I complied with the standards defined by AACN in conjunction with GCU. AACN together with GCU. Discussions in class, readings, and work on projects enabled me to improve my professional skills each week. To reach my goals, I had to consider my moral stance when I was working on projects, use technology, read online, and then create the PowerPoint. Every week, I made efforts to research and implement what I learned. I was careful to lead teams efficiently, while keeping ethical considerations in mind. When I was traveling, I often used the Internet for details. For my presentation, I made use of PowerPoint. At the end of the day I am able to see the class was immensely beneficial to me.
