The paper below is evidence of the nurse’s understanding of the objectives of Grand Canyon University’s (GCU) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program for DNP 815 Essentials of Reflective Practice, as well as the competencies outlined in the American Colleges of Nurses’ (AACN) Essentials for Doctoral Studies in Advanced Nursing Practice (American Associations of Colleges of Nursing, 2019,). From the foundations of science to the completion of projects until project completion, the AACN Essentials provide the basic requirements for nurses looking to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree.
Pursue Doctor of Nursing Practice
Through this process of learning, I’ve achieved confidence in my professional skills and knowledge of myself. But, we used the wealth of knowledge to aid me in learning and have combined this with the development of a skill set that will greatly enhance my ability to perform. The following reflection will follow a structured path that provides an outline of my day-to-day memories and emotions that can be utilized to explain the ways that the doctoral program has changed the way things go for me. By connecting these experiences to DNP Core/Elements as well as to the objectives of the program, I hope to understand my own experience as a student in the doctoral program constantly seeking out ways to learn in the nursing profession.
Reflection
In nursing class, DNP 815 Essentials of Reflective Practice, we found that the courses help train nurses to be ready for the most complex and critical jobs. we studied a variety of subjects that have helped to enhance our core competencies, which include, but aren’t only critical thinking, the evidence-based approach to practice, and leadership. Each week, I had the opportunity to explore new topics and to be successful in the context of diverse situations. I was energized to take on each day with an enthusiasm for learning and determination. After reflecting on this, I realized they had only broken the cold by providing DNP Essentials and the goals of the courses. Review of literature: I studied the methods of research and practices based on research results. Then, I critically reviewed the literature and utilized findings to enhance the patient experience. Regarding leadership, the most interesting part for me was being the leader in discussions that involve collaboration, considering the views of a variety of individuals, and implementing my own ideas to enhance my practices (Kim, 2020).)
DNP 815 Essentials of Reflective Practice
Additionally, when I examined my study of the DNP essentials for the DC Network, I identified three domains that were a reflection of my experiences throughout that class. Before the advent of healthcare, information technology was a basic issue. In all the areas of nursing, I was able to see from a first-person perspective the way in which taking in and applying the lessons and activities gave me the information and expertise to tackle the complex issues and situations that I was able to confront managers while working. Instead of simply reading or listening to the book, I was actively involved in discussions that were informative daily. I also conducted tasks for information systems and made policies while I was working.
Essential-I Clinical Scholarship and Analytical Methods
When I was researching and developing my DNP-815 curriculum, one of the most important aspects I found was the connection between clinical research and solving problems. Thinking analytically was just one of the methods I could conceptualize during the course of my research. I was able to critically assess the evidence, analyze the findings, and apply the concepts in clinical work. Through lively discussions and reading and analyzing texts, we developed analytical skills and have been able to look at things more than ever through the lens of evidence and draw logical conclusions. The shift to academic research in clinical practice has led me to take the exam, which shifted me away from principally treating patients to a more systematic and evidence-based approach that creates an environment of continuous growth and learning in my workplace.
Essential-II Information Systems and Technology
To sum up, the most significant element that influenced my DNP 815 Essentials of Reflective Practice was the importance of technology and information systems. Through the interactive module and exercise, I was able to hone my abilities in using technology to better the treatment process, which will benefit people who require it. The use of information technology has a major role in the present-day world of nurses. It helps when it comes to analyzing data that are obtained from health records systems, for instance (Tayefi and Co. 2021). It also functions as the basis for monitoring patients remotely. I’ve observed from my own experience how IT can change the way nurses practice. Not only did my skills in technology improve as well, but I’ve also come to realize the significance of technology in improving the management of care. This will help improve nursing workflows.
Essential-III Healthcare Policy and Advocacy
Advocacy and policy This is the most popular argument in the DNP-815 course and is crucial to the delivery in the field of health care. By participating in stakeholder meetings and researching the current structure of policies, I studied the various ways in which policies on nursing practice and healthcare are interconnected. I was able to understand the actuality of the situation, and I was asked to conduct a number of case studies and an analysis of the situation (Tsai as well as Co., 2020). This was a great way to develop a more informed understanding of how policy decisions affect the delivery of healthcare services as well as patient health. The anger of others, like friends and family, also generated an interest for me to be a fervent advocate for changes in policy that ensure accessibility to healthcare services, as well as improvements in the quality of healthcare.
Conclusion
As a nurse, I’ve had a wonderful experience with the DNP-815 course. It has given me a wide range of knowledge and experiences which have shaped the way nursing will develop over the next few years. The academic discussions, the multiple-faceted sessions for learning, and the preservation of my experiences within nursing standards have led me to a long-term commitment to nursing education and direction. With these rules in mind, I’ll be able to work in a way that is grounded in ethics, using information technology, and advocate for reforms to policy that can improve the quality of advanced nursing and contribute to the provision of high-quality healthcare. Apart from developing my professional image, I’ve also been able to affirm my commitment to making an impression on many lives I come across during my career as a healthcare professional.
